So yeah, since the Hyrule Historia book and the Zelda Timeline was officially released, what are everyone's thoughts on it? Personally, I don't like it, but after a couple hours of reading/connecting dots, I can at least understand it.
Here's an image of the timeline

I still think a continuous timeline is possible. Oh, and FourSwords Adventures/ FourSwords seem like they should belong in the Timeline on the left because of Shadow Link....
(I could be wrong though, I still haven't finished Link's Awakening, Spirit Tracks, or the Oracle games.) Last edited by 8sblack; 03-01-2012 at 11:02 PM. |

For a long time i only was thinking there were to, the chiled line and the adult line but now knowing theres a 3rd... i like it it helps tie some strings. I see it as If Gannon wins this happens if not this will happen.

Am I the only one that absolutely does not get the third split? I'm reading it as Link dies in OoT before he stops Ganon... but the fact that that could be canon as a possible ending completely bedazzles me...

Yeah, I'm pretty confused about that too.
I get how the games fit in the the third split, but I never really thought about the fact that the Hero of Time might have failed. Last edited by RbwNjaFurret; 14-01-2012 at 06:43 PM. |

I'm a total noob when it comes to Zelda games, but can someone please explain to me how SS can come before Child Era, when Link is not a child in SS?

In pretty much every game there is a different Link. The child Link in Ocarina of Time is not the same person as the grown Link in Skyward Sword. There are a few cases where this isn't true (ie OoT and MM are the same Link) but in most cases they are different people. This also goes for Zelda and Ganondorf.
